Internships and Job Opportunities

SkIO Information Technology Internship Project:

The Information Technology Department is currently seeking an intern to assist with the daily operations of the IT department. Main functions include supporting the Institute's helpdesk mission. Tasks include pc troubleshooting, upgrading and installing software packages, assisting faculty with technology questions, and basic network troubleshooting.

This position will present the opportunity to sharpen skills on the following platforms:

Windows
Red Hat Linux
Solaris 8 and 9 (unix)
Mac OS X

Opportunities to learn networking infrastructure will also be presented. This includes working with:

Cisco VLAN Architecture
DNS
DHCP
NFS
NIS
Samba
