Spirit Telecom - VoIP Engineer
Successful candidate will work with team to design, implement, and maintain a diverse and extensive VoIP network.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience in designing and implementing projects.
Working knowledge of VoIP and related protocols.
Working knowledge of traditional voice networks.
Knowledge of telecommunication systems and protocols.
Ability to express oneself clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing.
Ability to deal effectively with customers and employees.
Desire to take ownership of projects.
Ability to troubleshoot complicated problems.
Ability to adjust work schedule to support shifts of various lengths and start/stop times based on workload.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Working knowledge of Broad soft feature server or equivalent.
Working knowledge of Session Boarder Controllers.
BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
Two years of engineering experience. Experience can be full time or internship/co-op.
Engineer-In-Training and/or CCNA certificate.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Design, test, and document new VoIP applications.
Validate VoIP equipment for field deployment.
Third level support for complicated VoIP outages and troubleshooting.
Evaluate new technologies for networks, applications, and platforms.
Perform all duties that may be assigned by the Chief Engineer.
